Dr. Pike is a licensed psychotherapist and holds a doctorate degree in counseling psychology. She has been in private practice for more than 25 years and has been recognized as a Master Therapist by the American Psychotherapy Association. Additionally, she has been designated as a Board Certified Diplomate by the American Psychotherapy Association. She works with individuals, couples and families and is certified in the treatment of loss and bereavement, the treatment of chemical dependency and the treatment of sexual disorders.
Her clinical career began in 1983 when she worked with hospice patients and their families. Her expertise includes work with patients suffering from a variety of mental health and addiction issues, as well as cancer patients and others with life-changing diseases. Dr. Pike also enjoys working with members of the law enforcement community and their families.
Dr. Pike is a former professor of psychology and has trained hundreds of students who are now practicing psychotherapists. She continues to lecture both to public audiences as well as providing continuing education for mental health professionals. Training new therapists is one of her passions. Her work with clients, colleagues and students emphasizes self care, personal authenticity, the practice of mindfulness and humor.
